Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm (9/28 to 11/17/2022)

  • Attend in person EMT training course at the Orange County station

  • Complete and pass EMT training course

  • Verification of skills proficiency and achievement of a passing score on the written and practical skills certification examination.

  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors and or the public

  • Assess patients through physical examination and obtaining vital signs

  • Collaborate with your fellow Emergency Medical Technician (EMTs), Paramedics, medical drivers and management to assure top tier patient care.

  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations as an Emergency Medical Technician trainee.

  • Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all state and city protocols (based on competency level).

  • Assists in lifting, carrying, and transporting patients to ambulance and on to a medical facility.

  • Deliver verbal and written reports regarding patients

  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good running order throughout the shift

  • Maintain stock of supplies and equipment in vehicle


  • Must be at least 19 years of age

  • Must hold a Valid Driver's License (2 years minimum)

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • 1 year commitment with Ambulnz after obtaining NYS EMT license.

  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

  • Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 125 pounds (250 with assistance)

  • Communication skills; customer service experience (preferred)

  • Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations
